Lesson 2:  Integrating Apps into Existing Lesson Plans
Apps for Bloom's Digital Taxonomy

Bloom's Digital Taxonomy includes resources that add to the levels of thinking found in Bloom's Taxonomy.  The additional technological skills  further prepare students for skills required in the 21st century. There are many sites available to help teachers incorporate technology in lesson plans.  This page introduces you to sources for finding iPad, iPod, and iPhone apps for lessons using Bloom's Taxonomy and Bloom's Digital Taxonomy.

Kathy Schrock has pulled together many classroom ideas in her website Kathy Schrock's Guide to Everything.  She has several graphics with the elements of Bloom's Taxonomy that also include links at each level to apps that can assist with incorporating digital technology at that level.  Click on the picture, below, to go to her site:

At the site iPad Curriculum:  make learning mobile, educators can put the desired level of Bloom's into a menu, with options to help narrow down the selection.  Other options include device, grade level, news, price, student reviewed apps, and subject.  The site will then search for apps related to the educator's choices.  Click on the picture, below, to go to this site:

Another useful site for researching apps is bloomsapps.  This site lists apps by each level in Bloom's Taxonomy.  It is focused on elementary levels, but has some apps that would also be helpful for secondary education.  Click onthe picture, below, to go to this site.
