Lesson 1 introducted you to Bloom's Digital Technology and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) National Educator
Technology Standards (NETS). Applying Bloom's Digital Technology while following the ISTE NETS can create a technology rich lesson that will also focus on skills to "learn effectively and live productively in an increasingly global and digital world" (ISTE, 2012).

1. Creativity and Innovation
Videolicious: Create stories and presentations. Puppet Pals: Create a puppet show to explain a topic using virtual puppets. Inspiration Maps: Brainstorm and create concept maps. 2. Communication and Collaboration Bento: A database to track projects, manage lists, do student and peer evaluations Dropbox: Share files with groups WattPad: A site for users to upload and share their writing work and get community feedback from amateur and professional writers. 3. Research and Information Fluency Dropbox: Move files from your laptop to your smartphone, and iPad. Video Time machine: Select any year to find poplular movies, news, and music from that year. Leafsnap: Take a picture of a tree leaf and the app will tell you the name of the plant. |
